Job Description:

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be able to support the infrastructure and design of our new R&D Center in Mason, OH.  You will interact with our sales force, customers and our HQ in Germany and be working with project teams to convert requirement into technical concepts considering different technologies with the best cost/performance ratio. You will have the excitement and challenges of a startup combined with the security and benefits of a global company. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

    • Responsibility for the development of costumer specific pneumatic drives and valves

    • Responsibility for product care activities on current products with focus on cost and quality

    • Development of proposals for design concepts as well as evaluation in terms of feasibility, risks, deadlines and costs

    • Preparation of product documentation, such as models, drawings, parts lists and data sheets in accordance with general and internal specifications

    • Support of purchasing and procurement in terms of supplier evaluation

    • Build and test prototype designs for proof of concept

    • Utilize the change management process to manage documentation and product changes

    • Close cooperation with customers, sales and the Headquarters in Germany

 

Experience and Skills:

Experience and Skills

  • Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar required with automation industry experience

  • Expert in CAD Design with at least 5 years of experience with CREO CAD software or similar tools

  • Have experience with Simulation Tools (Screw, Spring, O-Ring…) and other computer modeling techniques

  • Possess a good understanding of polymeric materials and manufacturing techniques, specifically injection molding, extrusion, die casting

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Confident command of common office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Willingness to spend several weeks in Germany and Boston during the onboarding process

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
