Job Description:

The successful candidate's responsibilities include Programming complete PLC and HMI solutions  semi-finished or finished Solution Center (SC) products.

 

Job Responsibilities include:

    • Manage PLC Software library ensuring all software changes are documented and standardized 

    • Manage Electricity and Automation equipment standardization 

    • Responsible for the complete Installation of system offsite at customers facility 

    • Write and teach Robot programs for new designed robotic cells using Fanuc, Kuka, ABB Robots, Using palletizing and Vision software tools.  

    • Debug and test of new programs on shop floor.  

    • Debug and test of new programs at customer facility.  

    • Install/Test proven programs for machines on shop floor.  

    • Assist with developing customer manual for newly designed education modules.  Assist in risk assessment of newly designed machines.  

    • Follow and fill out quality flowcharts and checklists procedures.  

    • Evaluate equipment and define finished production machine.  

    • Make necessary modifications and ensure completeness and accuracy of programs.  

    • Research other manufacturing software such as Siemens  

    • Research new FANUC software such as IR Vision, Keyence Vision etc….  

    • Assist with conceptual design of the operation of new/custom equipment and components.  

    • Help refine and develop programming standards.  

    • Assist with set-up and testing of training modules on production floor.  

    • Assist sales with layouts, quotes, and sales calls.  

    • Assist sales with designs and troubleshooting.  

    • Assist with customer service calls. Update programs, prints, spreadsheets, etc.  

     

    Experience and Skills:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably electrical engineering. 

      • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of electricity in a manufacturing facility.  

      • In-depth knowledge of Electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations. 

      • Good knowledge of local electrical code and standards 

      • Good knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems. 

      • In-depth knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, 

      • Knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing process, operations and technology being used to assemble parts. 

      • Knowledge on MES (Manufacturing Execution System). 

      • Knowledge on manufacturing IT, industrial networks and applications 

      • Good knowledge of electrical safety 

      • Analytical skills in Problem Solving. 

      • Strong interpersonal skills Allen Bradley PLC Programming (about 75% of the workload)  

      • Siemens Programming (about 25% of the workload)  

      • Strong conflict resolution skills 

      • Ability to think conceptually and deal with ambiguity with a strong innovation mindset 

      • Proactive problem-solving ability. Ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios 

      • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, hygienic engineering and Nestlé Quality System.
