Position: Procurement Excellence Manager
Summary: Reporting to the Head of Procurement – North
America, the Procurement Excellence Manager is responsible for a wide
range of duties to direct, support and enable improvements in
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities. The role will lead the Procurement
organization in North America and related processes to world-class
performance based on proven business models, lean principles, rational
organization setup, and the use of relevant information technology.
The Procurement Excellence Manager will drive and/or participate in
the implementations of work setups, methods, responsibilities and
technologies to ensure that business processes are optimized and
systems are scalable and fully deployed, consistent with Global
Procurement plans. This role will oversee enhancements of the systems
within Festo North America procurement operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Implementation and continuous improvement of Procurement
processes, including methods and tools used by Festo in North America:
- Builds efficiency in Procurement through Digitalization and Shared Services
- Supports system upgrades (e.g., SAP, others) and adherence to ISO
standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.)
- Identification of opportunities and risks in the interfaces with
other business partners - Drives improvements and proactive risk
assessment(s) and countermeasures [upstream]
- Improvements in the information infrastructure and data
transparency in Procurement - Ensures proper implementation and
consistent execution of customer driven requirements, improvements
in controls, and regulatory compliance; Document control
- Orchestrates strategy deployment, synchronizing changes in
processes and procedures with Quality, Finance, HR and other
functional groups - Assist auditors [internal/external] and address
open topics.
- Builds and monitor KPI’s for Procurement Operations
- Determination of the maturity level of the Purchasing Units in the
region - Elaboration and execution of improvement plans
- Development and execution of training concepts
