Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Reviews inspection data from incoming parts,  initiation of SCARs with vendors, first level supplier selection and evaluation activities including site specific vendor performance ratings (SQA).
  • Oversight of gage calibration process.
  • Acts as Quality Assurance representative with Festo internal departments on new product developments and component failures.
  • Supports failure modes effects analysis FMEA activities for new product developments.
  • Within scope, prepares quality system documents including operating procedures, work instructions, charts, visual aids, inspection drawings and reports.
  • Identifies negative quality trends and,  working with suppliers, initiates appropriate corrective/preventative actions.
  • Performs timely failure analysis investigations of customer returned material to determine probable causes or modes of failure using complete 8-D methodology.  Facilitate rework or repair activities.
  • Assures a timely response and feedback to the resolution of quality issues to management.
  •  Additional work hours in excess of normal business hours may be necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.  This includes extra efforts required for infrequent or short duration.
  • Travel may be required via any mode of transportation as determined by Company for business reasons such as, but not limited to, skill development, training, or a company business event.  This would include travel to Corporate Headquarters/Regional(field) offices.

Experience and Skills:

  • Four-year Technology degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  BSME/ EE preferred.  Bachelor’s Degree/ MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and Electronic Light Assembly.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and SAP required.
