Job Description:

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be able to support the infrastructure and design of our new R&D Center in Mason, OH.  You will interact with our sales force, customers and our HQ in Germany and be working with project teams to convert requirement into technical concepts considering different technologies with the best cost/performance ratio. You will have the excitement and challenges of a startup combined with the security and benefits of a global company. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of the required product approvals for electrical/electromechanical/electronic products according to UL, CSA, NEC

  • Ideally knowledge of the UL 61010, UL 429, NEC 500, NEC 500 regulations

  • Maintenance and care of existing approvals during the entire product life cycle in case of product changes or changed approval bases (laws, standards)

  • Central contact for questions regarding product approval and electrical safety in North America

  • Cooperation with Product Certification at HQ in Germany

  • Preparation of the necessary internal technical documentation for the respective approvals

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Master degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics or comparable qualification

  • Professional experience in the field of product approval, ideally with a focus on electrical safety

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for product approval

  • Analytical and structured approach

  • Very good knowledge of the relevant normative and legal requirements

  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, ideally basic knowledge of German

  • Willingness to stay for several weeks in Germany and Boston during the onboarding process
