Job Description:

  • Review of sales contracts (including US government contracts), nondisclosure agreements, vendor contracts, purchase order terms and conditions, and any documents requiring Festo signature for adherence to company policy, government and contract specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements

  • Summarize vendor agreements and customer contracts in order to elevate concerns to General Counsel and obtain approvals for material changes to standard terms and any nonstandard language in all documents.

  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to negotiate and to resolve a variety of open contractual issues.

  • Monitors contract performance and compliance with terms and conditions, tracks expiration dates, and performs closeout of contracts.

  • Draft new contract templates and legal documents with assistance of General Counsel as the need arises.

  • Forward requests for certificates of insurance to carrier and ensure timely issuance of certificates.

  • Support completion of information requests received from Customers verifying Festo as a supplier

  • Maintains accurate filing system both manually or via computer and various software, collects and maintains various data and prepares reports or charts utilizing appropriate software for General Counsel.

  • Interacts directly with various levels of employees both in corporate and in the field in a professional manner, as well as customers, suppliers, distributors or field personnel.

  • Schedules own appointments or meetings and generates own correspondence; able to work productively independently, as well as part of a team and under the direction of the General Counsel

  • Responsibilities may be assigned as required, on an ongoing or temporary basis. Work assigned may vary in accordance with respective management requirements and/or departmental/regional office requirements.

Experience and Skills:

 

  • B.A. or B.S. (4-year degree)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration including strong drafting and negotiation skills.

  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office Suite experience

  • US government contracting (FAR/DFAR) experience a plus; export compliance (ITAR/EAR) a plus.

  • Exceptional oral and written skills and phone etiquette.

  • Excellent analytical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, contract knowledge and negotiation skills, with finely honed ability to identify contractual risk and find creative solutions to mitigate such risk

  • Superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts/terms and condition

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
