Evaluates logistical customer complaints to determine if the
complaint is justified and what part of the logistics process is
associated with the complaint. Evaluates internal material flow
issues (from warehouse to production and back) using same methods.
Functionally and visually inspects materials damaged in
logistical process to determine the disposition of the material (
scrap, rework, okay “as-is”)
Inspects, verifies, and records accuracy of measurements and
devices used in the logistics process such as scales, counters, etc.
Acts as Quality Assurance representative with Festo internal
departments on new product developments and logistical process
related failures. Monitors KIP’s related to logistical quality
performance ( PPM rate, etc. ) and provides reporting of these
figures as needed to the logistics team and management.
Participates in logistical team meetings to convey and receive
information regarding logistical quality topics.
Performs timely failure analysis investigations of customer
returned material to determine probable causes or modes of
failure. Coordinates and communicates with Festo-AG and Sales to
resolve quality complaints from interested parties.
Supports New product and New Process launches.
Supports sales support ( external) and manufacturing teams (
internal) as needed regarding logistical ICMs.
Prepares quality system documents including operating procedures,
work instructions, charts, visual aids, inspection drawings and reports.
Performs Internal Quality Auditor duties for the ISO 9001 based
Quality Management System (QMS).
Assures a timely response and feedback to the resolution of
quality issues to management and customers.
Supports Festo-AG's corporate audits, certification audits,
and/or customer specific audits.
Additional work hours more than normal business hours may be
necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities. This
includes extra efforts required for infrequent or short duration.
Travel may be required via any mode of transportation as
determined by Company for business reasons such as, but not
limited to, skill development, training, or a company business
event. This would include travel to Festo-AG Corporate
Headquarters/Regional (field) offices.
