Job Description:

  • Provide excellent communications, both written and verbal, throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Identifies appropriate resouce needs as it pertains to staffing, processes and tooling.
  • Be actively engaged in managing performance and developing associates by regularly communicating standards and expectations and holding the team accountable.
  • Recommends training to ensure manufacturing and support teams are well-qualified.
  • Confers with site manager, sales, management, production, engineering and marketing staff to determine, and clarify, manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer expectations for existing projects.
  • Forecasts’ operating costs of department and provides this information to site management.
  • Create, adjust and communicate production schedules.
  • Coordinates flow of information between production area and other support groups.
  • Monitors and takes appropriate corrective action to meet targets related to safety, quality, cost and delivery. 
  • Ensures that customer requirements are met, deliveries are on time and costs are contained.
  • Establishes, adjusts and implements new processes for optimum workflow and effective use of resources by utilizing lean manufacturing tools and methods.
  • Communicates regularly with management to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Reviews and approves weekly time and attendance records for staff.
  • Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety and good housekeeping practices.
  • Supports 5S and builds in Festo Values Production.
  • Recommend and implement safety practices in manufacturing.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent 5 years of experience.
  • 10-15 years within manufacturing; OEM experience preferred.  Make to order production or assembly experience preferred.
  • Direct experience managing day-to-day efforts of manufacturing, quality, test and development.  Familiar with new product introduction (NPI) and program management experience.
  • 5-10 years production management experience.
  • Electronics, Pneumatics, Electro-Mechanical experience.
