Job Description:


Supervises and oversees day-to-day maintenance and repair of the Company’s facilities, while also ensuring all safety protocols are met and ISO compliance is achieved.  This will be done by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate(s) designated


Key Accountabilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and cleaning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
  • Oversees internal and external teams that install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, Electric, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Smoke Detection, Mass Notification, Security, Compressed Air, Plant Generators, etc.
  • Supports with/oversees internal and external teams to execute move, add, change requests up to $50,000
  • Prepares project schedule and manages the move, add, change process and serves as on-site foreman.
  • Performs frequent audits of work executed onsite to ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with Festo standards.
  • Maintain computer managed maintenance system with work order requests, work orders, assets, inventory, work instructions, work costs, labor hours, etc
  • Supports in the development and maintenance of scopes of work and schedule of values for each discipline needed to maintain the site.
  • Oversees and maintains inventory levels for the following: tools, attic stock, toiletry products, etc.
  • Supervises and oversees external service providers including but not limited to waste, kitchen, pest control, landscaping & snow removal, seal coating, etc.
  • Works with other facilities team members to maintain and updates facilities related documents including, but not limited to: technical drawings of the building, electrical diagrams, HVAC systems, security, telecommunications, etc.
  • Supports in the planning, development, and execution of the annual department budget
  • Maintains and Analyzes KPI’s and reports in accordance to department requirements and suggests/implements activities to better improve performance
  • Will be part of the company’s Safety Committee and is responsible for providing feedback and implementing actionable items within scope.
  • Is responsible for the specific compliance with and update of ISO procedures and processes assigned to
  • the Facilities Department.
  • Maintains an active communication and relationship with local authorities such as Fire Department, Police, etc.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Additional work hours in excess of normal business hours may be necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.  This includes extra efforts required for infrequent or short duration.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Experience and Skills:


  • Associates or Bachelor degree in a technical major (engineering, facility management, construction management.) from a two-year or four-year college or university
  • or seven years related experience and/or training with 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance/facilities department


  • Requires general problem solving and logical thinking skills. 
  • Must have deep knowledge of building codes and/or requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, prior construction experience a plus.
  • First aid training is a plus
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of 6s
