Job Description:

  • Interact with sales, design and test engineers to find the best solution for customer requests

  • Understanding customer challenges and application requirements

  • Consult with customers regarding product operation, product optimization, technical troubleshooting and usage training.

  • Engineering components or systems-based solutions

  • Customer on-site support to help and define the scope of complex applications

  • Providing external specialist automation engineering resources to propose and prove new applications e.g. liquid handling systems

  • Getting customer projects up-and-running fast, and providing lifetime support

  • Utilizing gravimetric and photometric test equipment to run liquid handling tests

  • Conducting experiments to determine the performance of liquid handling systems under customer conditions

  • Aid in optimizing revenue and new product development opportunities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement technical assistance and product training to Sales group.

  • Writing application notes for new products as a guidance for customers

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience

  • Electrical/software or mechanical engineering or scientific background.

  • Experience in handling of analytical balances, and evaluation of test series

  • Broad technical interest and high self-motivation to build up new knowledge in new areas

  • Detail oriented with a proven track record of documenting test results as well as recognizing and documenting deviations, anomalies, and failures during testing.

  • Proficient with mechanical and electrical tools used in testing and troubleshoot of electromechanical systems (e.g. common hand tools, drills, presses, grinders and multi-meters).

  • Proficient with larger machinery and equipment (e.g. mills, temperature chambers)

  • Knowledge of various Metal and Polymer additive manufacturing

  • Experience analyzing data to recognize trends and verify measurement quality.

  • CAD experience is preferred, e.g. in PTC Creo

  • Experience with NI LabVIEW or other programming languages.

  • Strong team spirit, flexibility and self-management
