Job Description:

  • Responsibility for pricing in NAM, covering USA, Canada and Mexico

  • Collaborate with Market Management to develop pricing strategies

  • Close cooperation with the HQ Strategic Pricing HQ team as well as NAM Finance and Controlling team

  • Represent the voice of NAM within the global pricing community

  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to drive growth and sustained business results

  • Member of the NAM Marginal Pricing team to meet customer-level profitability targets

  • As part of the annual budgeting and Mid-Range Planning process, prepare yearly pricing analysis and administer yearly changes in coordination with NAM Finance and Controlling

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain current and planned pricing tools

  • Implement and increase the use of global pricing tools and address enhancements to global pricing in HQ on optimization potential

  • Hone defined pricing approach based on customer potential, type and life cycle as well as product life cycle, and set appropriate targets. Execute and follow up with sales and product management

  • Define appropriate structure of discount levels and approval mechanism in close collaborate with sales leadership

  • Collect pricing intelligence from the market place and fine-tune/determine the appropriate pricing levels to maximize the company’s competitiveness

  • Generate pricing insights through commercial analysis and translate them into actionable market and customer opportunities

  • Maintain pricing subject matter expertise, staying current on developments and best practices

  • Mentor and provide training to other members of the NAM pricing team

  • Other tasks and responsibilities will be assigned as required

Experience and Skills:

  • BA/BS in Economics/Engineering/Marketing/Finance/Scientific discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in a marketing/management/quantitative discipline a plus

  • 5+ years of business experience working an analytical capacity in fields such as management consulting, pricing environment, marketing analytics or sales analytics

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL, SPSS or an alternate statistical package preferred

  • Profound knowledge in SAP and SAP environment

  • Highly self-motivated with a track record of taking ownership; strong analytical (big data), troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail; strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in English that enable him/her to present complex concepts in an understandable and attractive manner to all level management levels. Some proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to work cooperatively and forge relationships across multiple business areas; demonstrated project management skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Office Location: Islandia, NY preferred
