Job Description:

  • To undertake and successfully complete a 18 month dual development program leading to a Festo Certificate Program 
  • Actively participate in development of specified technical skills

Completed course related to: 

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics
  • Pneumatics

Key accountabilities:

  • Become proficient in assembly skills including use of hand tools
  • Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of metrology equipment
  • Fabricate mechanical parts
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and components into machines and/or mechatronic systems
  • Install electrical sub-assemblies and components
  • Measure and test electrical values
  • Install and test hardware and software components
  • Build and test control systems
  • Understand mechatronic systems
  • Test and adjust the functioning of mechatronics systems
  • Participate in team work environments
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Experience and Skills:


  • HS Diploma (GED) or vocational/trade school
  •  Acceptable scores of Accuplacer/SAT/ACT for admittance into Program
  • Acceptable GPA
  • HS diploma or GED
  • GPA 2.8 or higher
  • Proven Attendance Record
  • Accuplacer

Technical Knowledge:

  • Use of hand tools
  • understand basic arithmetic
  • Ability to understand verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to learn, practice and adhere to adhere to practical, hands on and safety requirements and standards
