Job Description:

  • Creation, implementation and optimization of a regional purchasing function in the region as essential part of Global Purchasing
  • Significant reduction of procurement costs within the region
  • Lean (head-count reduced) purchasing organization
  • Identification and development of (Group) suppliers for global, regional and cross-country demands
  • Well integrated regional supplier quality management incl. fast response on customer complaints
  • Support of R&D in regional TECs or CS Engineering Centers on design for x (First time right)
  • Establishment, adjustment and enhancement of supply chains for purchased materials and services acc. to footprints of relevant key business partner (Engineering, Logistics, Production, etc.
  • Implementation of global as well as creation and implementation of regional category strategies
  • Development/optimization of regional supplier base (CQD) and its integration into Festo's global supply chain
  • Enhance NPM purchasing organisation covering all areas spanning from office supplies over services to capital goods
  • Enhancement of CS Purchasing organization
  • Optimization of existing footprint in the region
  • Driving localization of supply chains together with the regional SC function according to global strategy

Experience and Skills:

  • University degree
  • 8-10 years of relevant business experience
  • Extensive management experience in an international context
  • Experience in establishing, leading and developing purchasing organizations
  • Annual purchasing achievements
