Job Description:

  • Provide In-Process quality support/creation for Prototype, Pre-Production and Production manufacturing, training and process validation
  • Interface between Quality; Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Production & Quality departments to work cohesively
  • Develop and Deploy; Process flows, in-quality documentation, testing and validation requirements for all product lines
  • Work closely with Quality assurance and Quality control teams to ensure all reported issues are identified and updated regularly within the controlled documentation
  • Conduct design reviews of all prototype products with the intent of mistake proofing the build process
  • Create detailed work instructions, visual aides and process routings to maintain acceptable production productivity and quality standards.
  • Perform motion studies to provide cost analyses and feedback to management.
  • Support Production Master data, BOM and Routings in an SAP envinroment.
  • Make changes to Quality master data as required
  • Work with customers to establish successful quality requirements and programs
  • Continuously train and educate production employees on best practices and quality initiatives.
  • Supports as required, new product and assembly release, design reviews
  • Assist and/or drive production line design with Manufacturing Engineering team to enhance quality output
  • Prepare and/or review production work instructions as required to ensure manufacturing specifications are met.
  • National and International travel may be required by any mode of transportation as determined by the company for business reasons
  • Design of swimlane documentation for overall process flow of each manufactured product
  • Statistical analysis program creation and roll out into organization
  • Creation of “First time Right” program within the organization 

Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years experience in Engineering or Manufacturing work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or similar field preferred, combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience with SAP, Visio and CAD, statistical analysis, first time right manufacturing.
