Job Description:

      • Ensures a safe, professional, productive value stream while meeting company targets and customer expectations. Development of internal processes to support standard work to ensure each area is held accountable for their contribution.  Drive continuous improvement with the support functions and strong employee engagement.  Identification of talents to provide development opportunities to ensure employee satisfaction.  Capable of defining capacities required to support customer volume and expectations (machine and people).

      • Uses Festo values to maintain a high level of employee accountability

      • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality as top priorities

      • Drives continuous improvement for internal/external KPI’s with passion and professionalism

      • Ensures resources are planned yearly based on customer forecasting
      • Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety and 6s practices

      • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and production orders to assemblers and assigns duties

      • Maintains department budgets to ensure cost transparency is understood and managed

      • Adjust workflow and orders to meet production schedules and customer expectations

      • Recommends and/or implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

      • Encourages employees to use lean methodology for continuous improvement

      • Drives a learning organization by supporting employee development

      • Encourages a speak up culture so opportunities can be identified through all levels of the organization for robust root cause/corrective action

      • Develops, implements, and maintains qualification requirements to ensure all employee are adequately trained for the task being performed

      • Drives a culture of empowerment to support in the ongoing development of Festo activities

      • Maintains company records for their responsible value stream per ISO 9001:2015 requirements

      • Collaborates with internal departments to implement and execute process development

        Resolves product related problems and assists in the repair of Festo products

      • Evaluates employee job performances and conducts performance appraisals

      • Reviews and approves weekly time and attendance records for shop staff

      • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:



  • An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’sDegree with2+ years of manufacturing leadership/support experience or 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing role, in a leadership/support role, preferred.
  • At lease 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and production environment required

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Lead or Supervisor role preferred

  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical machines

  • Proficient computer experience with MS Office and SAP

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
