Job Description:

Summary of job contents

Taking the lead in technically training the customer on the following task: Programming (PLC and Robotics), assembly, simulating (using software) and troubleshooting automated training equipment. The candidate will also be responsible for upholding a strong relationship with existing accounts, as well as the support of sales management in North America to increase market share of Festo's products by performing the following duties.


Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for the complete Installation of system offsite at customers facility
  • Write and teach Robot programs for new designed robotic cells using Fanuc, Kuka, ABB Robots, Using palletizing and Vision software tools.
  • Debug and test of new programs on shop floor.
  • Debug and test of new programs at customer facility.
  • Install/Test proven programs for machines on shop floor.
  • Assist with developing customer manual for newly designed education modules .
  • Assist in risk assessment of newly designed machines.
  • Follow and fill out quality flowcharts and checklists procedures.
  • Evaluate equipment and define finished production machine.
  • Make necessary modifications and ensure completeness and accuracy of programs.
  • Create software changes and troubleshoot Rockwell allen Bradley and Siemens
  • Research new FANUC software such as IR Vision , Keyence Vision etc….
  • Update customer machine manuals.
  • Assist with conceptual design of the operation of new/custom equipment and components.
  • Conduct necessary research and testing.
  • Help refine and develop programming standards.
  • Assist with set-up and testing of training modules on production floor.
  • Assist sales with layouts, quotes, and sales calls.
  • Assist sales with designs and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with customer service calls. * Update programs, prints, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Save programs on server
  • Save job spec information for future reference.
  • Develops in conjunction with management sales strategies to sell applicable product lines and services and implements such in order to achieve predetermined annual sales target.
  • Analyzes and researches pertinent information in order to respond to Customer inquiries regarding product features and performance, product application, product substitution and special application requests.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot moderately complex problems and system failures.
  • Recommends replacement of components.
  • Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, or other key personnel) and develops new accounts, maintains and increases current customer base.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements And Minimum Education Level


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the field of electricity in a manufacturing facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of Electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations.
  • Good knowledge of local electrical code and standards
  • Good knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HMIs, PLCs,
  • Knowledge of food processing operations and technology.
  • Knowledge on MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Knowledge on manufacturing IT, industrial networks and applications
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, hygienic engineering and Nestlé Quality System.
  • Analytical skills in Problem Solving, specifically, understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to think conceptually and deal with ambiguity with a strong innovation mindset
  • Proactive problem solving ability. Ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios
