Job Description:

  • Responsible for finding, analyzing and developing new prospective customers to the point that specific requirements are established and the customer can be allocated to an existing sales channel.
  • Works primarily in emerging industries and technologies.
  • Uses social media at an expert level to establish a significant Festo presence, create name recognition and generate networking/collaboration opportunities.
  • Communicates Festo expertise and seeks to establish Festo as an innovative partner in automating new innovations in emerging markets. Manages the Experience Center and assigned employees.
  • Set up 10-15 training/demos/meetings/collaborations per month at the FEC
  • Generate 4-5 qualified sales leads per moth
  • Expand the Festo Network by 25-50 people each month
  • Vetting what opportunities look viable vs. „ pie in the sky“
  • Use Livermore and local sales resources
  • Work with Didactic to establish training
  • Connect to the Bionic network for social media
  • Insure new displays are rotated in and out as needed

Experience and Skills:

  • BS in Engineering or similiar degree; MBA preferred
  • Important to understand new technologies being used in Silicon Valley by the large Tech companies and Startups.  Proficiency with social media for networking and generating excitement/interest
  • Critical to understand how Festo products can fit in with the new ideas/products/services being developed
  • Motion control, robotic and PLC programming capability.  Industry 4.0 how it fits in with other companies with Festo
  • 10 years working in automation areas – sales/engineering
  • Festo knowledge- 5 years
  • Industry Specificity- Semiconductor/Electronic assembly and handling.  Medical automation/devices
  • General knowledge- Customer facing functions
