Job Description:

  • Responsible to manage all aspects of material flow and to maintain accuracy and control of raw material and ready goods on stock, including all transactions for planning, scheduling and logistics thereby ensuring on-time deliveries to customers and in compliance with Corporate guidelines
  • Establish and implement best practices with regards to methods, systems and processes used to support an effective as well as efficient replenishment strategy for the RSC NAFTA.

  • Continuous optimization of supply strategies and networks within the Festo production, sourcing and logistic network taking advantage of state of the art logistic, material planning and sourcing processes and procedures.

  • Define and manage optimal inventory strategies balancing inventory levels with market expectations especially in dynamic situations.

  • Match and manage delivery capability (capacity) within the value stream aligning with production and logistics function.

  • Develop, implement and manage a cross-functional and fully integrated planning process which facilitates decisions related to make vs buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory management and material management with the ultimate motive of customer satisfaction

  • Training and Development of team

  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing a consistent inventory control system in conjunction with Logistics and Finance.

  • Close collaboration and negociation with suppliers and sub contractors aiming for optimal capacity availability, delivery and logistic agreements as well as delivery conditions in the best interest of the value stream performance of RSC NAFTA

  • Function as a key member of the operations management team in making cross-functional operational decisions striving for benchmarkable on-time deliveries

  • Develop, optimize and implement new sourcing and material management processes and procedures ensuring best possible compatibility with existing supply chain processes and concepts

  • Identification of potential improvement areas within overseen area of responsibility, applying prognosis (software) tools and systematic improvement measures capable to derive relevant information to steer the RSC supply Chain

  • Continuous optimization of resource- as well as stock usage managing dependencies within the supply chain in an optimal way

  • Collaboration with world wide supply chain partners implementing future supply chain integration processes drinving the RSC sourcing towards a best in class position

  • Ensure policies and procedures conform to the prescribed Health and Safety norms of Festo

  • Other duties as assigned by management


Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor (preferably master) of business studies, engineering or supply management with relevant experience in the following areas:

  1. ERP Experience in Materials and PP Modules

  2. Lean tools and techniques

  3. Quality Plans and Quality Audits

  4. Costing Principles and Pricing

  5. Manufacturing Methods and Processes
