Job Description:

  • Able to read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, & electrical drawings.  Uses this ability to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex CS Systems.
  • Ability to work from both Engineering Drawings and from Verbal Instructions.
  • Familiarity with Hand Tools and their use for assembling complex systems.
  • Able to Operate: drill press, lathes, milling machine, grinders and other power tools to assist in assembly operation.
  • Uses various testing and measuring equipment such as: Digital and/or Analogue Meters, Oscilloscope, Calipers, Micrometers, and Interferometers to Measure and Analyze Assemblies.
  • Ability to modify parts or assemblies from hand sketches or verbal instructions.
  • Takes own initiative and works on projects independently.
  • Performs testing of components and sub-assemblies during the assembly and final stage of assembly.
  • Assists in resolving Manufacturing Issues.
  • Evaluation and analysis of non-conforming material returns.
  • Inspection and repair of customer returns.
  • Performs quality control by inspecting non-conforming material.
  • Helps to maintain Engineering Lab.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required

Experience and Skills:

  • 2 Year Technical Degree ot Equivalent (college or technical trade school).
  • 10 years’ experience in production assembly/testing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in an Engineering environment a plus.
  • Exposure in machine shop and test environment.
