Job Description:

  • Responsible for the preparation, coordination, scheduling and delivery of training on a national basis.
  • Mentor and advise Festo Employees (trainees) in navigating the company, processes and necessary relationships for success.
  • Training topics include: basic and advanced principles of automation technology including, but not limited to fluid power, automation controls, sensor technology, robotics technology, principles of process automation, air preparation, safety in automation systems, electric actuators and soft skills training.
  • Adapt curriculum to fulfill training needs specific to a class or individual needs.  The curriculum can be developed from existing Festo courseware or other sources as required.
  • Administer appropriate pre and post assessment tools. Working within established Festo procedures the pre-assessment process will act as a guide for delivering the appropriate course material.  A post assessment should be used to demonstrate enhanced performance/knowledge
  • Preparing and delivering sales training.
  • Working with the Program Manager and Training Coordinator recommends the purchasing of required training materials or necessary hardware.
  • Administer Festo’s Learning Management System and other training related administrative tasks.
  • Stays informed of what competitors are doing regarding training and stays up to date in content and relevant information that may be required to be adapt training.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Associates Degree/ Bachelors preferred
  • At least 5 years in automation technology & training delivery
  • Fluid power, automation controls and sensor technology, robotics technology electrical/electronic technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of automation technology as applied in actual industrial applications in various industries, and may include food & packaging, bio-medical, semiconductor and process automation.
  • Ability to deliver curriculum suitable to teach automation technology to adult learners in a business environment.
  • Expert training skills including excellent verbal and written communications skills, public speaking and presentations skills, and he ability to teach complex automation principles in a clear, concise and understandable manner.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, easily engaging people, in small intimate settings, and with large numbers of individuals in large venues.
  • Mentoring skills to lead and coach participants/students.
