Job Description:

Drive the development of process automation product sales in a defined geography. Provide pre-sales product and Application support.  Provide basic “feature benefit” and application sales training to sales engineers and selected customers for electronic products.               

Process automation products defined as: Ball, butterfly, and gates valves, pneumatic linear and quarter turn actuators, sensor boxes, positioners and NAMUR valves.   Pinch valves, piston media valves, and diaphragm media valves.

  • Primarily responsible for pre-sales support of all PA products.  Knowledge of typical applications is required
  • Drive the sales of process automation products through Festo Sales Engineers, Industry Segment Managers and selected distribution.   These will be considered your   “internal customers“
  • Responsible to develop and drive PA specific distribution, including field support and training.
  • Support process applications at factory automation customers with SE/ISS and responsible for communicating/training/driving application duplications from previous successes.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of new products and their applications.
  • Works closely with US Product Management, Industry Segment Managers, District Sales Managers and the PA market segment specialists.
  • Additional work hours in excess of normal business hours may be necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities. 
  • Travel may be required via any means of transportation determined by Company for business reasons such as, training, customer sites/visits or a company business event.

 

 

This position can also be located in Southern California

Experience and Skills:

  • BS- Technical or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of field experience sizing /selecting process valves and integration into process control application
  • Computer literate
  • No specific industry experience required
