Job Description:

District Sales Manager for Festo Didactic Inc. District 4 territory covering Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana will be responsible for aggressively seeking out and pursuing opportunities for Festo products and services, in combination with the management of our Dealer Channel. This District Sales Manager must possess the ability to coordinate sales efforts with our Dealers, manage sales and provide sales and support relative to the Festo line of business.

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the sales activities of Festo products and services for Customers and our Dealer Channel.
  • Provide product knowledge to assist with a better understanding of the Festo portfolio.
  • Provide technical assistance with questions or product issues.
  • Prepare and present at speaking engagements and conferences where a Festo ambassador is required.
  • Increase Festo’s market share in the sale of technical education products.
  • Determine and manage regional exhibition needs and activities.
  • Learn and educate Customers and Dealers where competitive concerns exist.
  • Assist and direct Festo Dealers in the District, in order to achieve quotas and goals.
  • Advise in matters concerning sales and promotional activities.
  • Participate in sales activities with the appointed sales reps in the territory.
  • Participate in sales calls to Customers to ensure that relationships are consistent with overall corporate objectives and to monitor performance of our Dealers.
  • Develop and qualify a sales forecast for the District to ensure an accurate sales pipeline.
  • Manage Dealer activities to ensure District projections are met.
  • Monitor accounts to analyze Customer needs and cross sell products.
  • In conjunction with the National Sales Manager resolve issues pertaining to products and services.
  • Conduct meetings which can include training sessions, performance review of Dealer Sales Representatives.
  • Develop sales strategies to increase sales within region. Territory: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.
  • Represent Festo at trade shows, demonstrate and promote products.
  • Liaise between Marketing, Sales and Support departments to ensure customer and company needs are met.

Experience and Skills:


  • Must be resident in the territory/district to be managed, preferably Texas, Oklahoma or Louisiana.
  • Basic working understanding of technology, including: electronics, automation subjects, power systems and industrial systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to direct, manage and coach individual team members to maximize their job performance and to work collaboratively as part of a sales team.
  • Sales management experience that enables the individual to motivate and guide both direct employees and indirect sales representatives to achieve the company’s overall business objectives.
  • The ability to monitor and manage working with Distribution Channels, Salesmen and Support Staff.
  • Must be resident in the territory/district to be managed.
  • Basic working understanding of technology, including: electronics, automation subjects, power systems and industrial systems.
  • Associates Degree, Engineering preferred, but experience in the Industry will be considered.
  • At least 5 years technology & related subjects.
